# Supabase Database Setup Instructions

## Step 1: Get Your Supabase API Key

1. **Go to your Supabase Dashboard**: https://supabase.com/dashboard
2. **Select your project** with URL: `https://sldiqjjgddegffbzjqma.supabase.co`
3. **Navigate to Settings** → **API**
4. **Copy the "anon public" key** (this is the key we need)

## Step 2: Update Environment Variables

Once you have the correct API key, update your `.env.local` file:

```env
NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL=https://sldiqjjgddegffbzjqma.supabase.co
NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY=your_correct_anon_key_here
```

## Step 3: Set Up Database Tables

1. **Go to your Supabase Dashboard**
2. **Navigate to SQL Editor** (in the left sidebar)
3. **Copy and paste the entire content** of `supabase-migration.sql` into the SQL editor
4. **Click "Run"** to execute the migration

## Step 4: Test Authentication

After setting up the database:

1. **Go to** `http://localhost:3000/register`
2. **Create a new account** with your email and password
3. **Login** with those credentials
4. **You should be redirected to the dashboard**

## Next Steps

1. Get the correct API key from your Supabase dashboard
2. Update the `.env.local` file with the correct key
3. Run the database migration
4. Test the authentication flow
