# Employee leave request readiness checklist - September 8, 2026 Use this checklist before enabling the revised employee request form in a company/brand. Do not test by changing production leave or payroll records. ## Deployment - [ ] Back up the intended database and confirm the selected database name. - [ ] Apply `2026_09_08_statutory_leave_policies.sql` if it is not installed. - [ ] Apply `2026_09_08_statutory_leave_enforcement.sql`. - [ ] Apply `2026_09_08_leave_service_month_accrual.sql` after the annual allocation migration when completed-service-month credits are used. - [ ] Deploy the backend and rebuilt frontend together. - [ ] Confirm the leave integrity and ledger readiness markers are present. ## Employee master data - [ ] Every employee using a service-controlled leave has a valid hire date. - [ ] No hire date is `0000-00-00`, inferred, or copied from birth/creation date. - [ ] Employee company and brand ownership is correct. - [ ] Employee payroll type has the correct `hours_per_day` value. ## Schedule and holidays - [ ] Each employee has an effective work-week profile when rest days must be excluded. - [ ] Employees without a profile can use the default work time; confirm that every non-holiday date should count as a workday for those employees. - [ ] Every work day in the profile points to a valid work time. - [ ] Rest days are explicitly marked in the profile. - [ ] Current and future holidays are reviewed, including recurring holidays. - [ ] A test range containing a rest day and holiday returns the expected days. ## Leave configuration - [ ] Statutory leave types have a global allowance of zero. - [ ] Credits are posted only through company/brand-scoped grants or allocations. - [ ] New-hire policies use completed-service-month proration when credits must grow gradually instead of being granted in full. - [ ] Each statutory category is mapped to a unique leave type. - [ ] Effective dates, duration basis, renewal, service months, and document requirements have been reviewed by HR/legal. - [ ] Employees have entitlement accounts and enough credits for the request year. - [ ] Deferred-reconciliation entitlement accounts are resolved. ## Employee acceptance test - [ ] Opening or refreshing the form recovers the authenticated employee ID. - [ ] The displayed hire date and hours per day match the employee record. - [ ] A day request excludes configured rest days and holidays. - [ ] An hourly request uses the payroll type's hours per day. - [ ] Missing hire date blocks service-controlled leave with an actionable message. - [ ] Per-event statutory leave requires an event date. - [ ] Required PDF/PNG/JPEG evidence uploads privately; files over 5 MB fail. - [ ] Insufficient credit, overlap, cross-year, and finalized-payroll cases fail. - [ ] A valid request is pending, reserves credits, and retains its policy version. - [ ] Approval posts usage once; rejection/cancellation reverses it once. ## Privacy - [ ] Only scoped HR users can download private evidence. - [ ] VAWC and medical evidence is not included in list/export responses. - [ ] Logs contain identifiers and outcomes, not document contents or diagnoses. The supplied `solidmarkmaster_db (16).sql` snapshot is not ready for service- controlled leave: all 38 employee hire dates are missing or invalid. Correct those dates from authoritative HR records before enabling affected policies.
