# Payroll UI Compaction

Status: Completed

## Completed changes

- Consolidated live-payroll bulk operations into a **Bulk Actions** menu.
- Removed the duplicate visible Loan Editor button; it remains in the More menu.
- Renamed **Post Final Payroll** to **Finalize Payroll**.
- Reduced toolbar padding and arranged controls into two desktop rows:
  1. Search, filters, calendar/print, and More.
  2. Payroll mode, batch selection, payroll actions, and selection net total.
- Made the payroll mode switch a flat segmented control with square active-segment edges.
- In finalized mode, kept **Post Journal** visible and moved Repost, Void/Correct,
  and Journal Report into a secondary actions menu.
- Compacted the payroll-cycle modal by reducing its width, padding, calendar day
  height, selected-date display, summary area, and action-button size.

## Verification

- Targeted ESLint check passed for `payrollModal.jsx` and `IncomeTaxMVPPanel.jsx`.
- `git diff --check` passed.
- Vite transformed all frontend modules successfully.

## Known build limitation

The production build cannot finish because Windows denies writing the existing
`frontend/dist/sw.js` service-worker file (`EPERM`). This is a filesystem lock
on the generated output, not a compile error in these UI changes.
